about
Safe to Stay is a song about being oblivious to change until it’s too late to actively take it all on. It’s about taking the time to reflect on the world around you and changing as it changes too. The world around us can often shape who we are and what we believe in. I guess Safe to Stay is just a gentle reminder to everyone, that change is inevitable but coming to terms with it is the first step to growing.
LYRICS:
lyrics
The leaves that fall on the car each morning
The train that passed while the sun was dawning
It all adds up, even when I keep my eyes shut
The sound they make keep me from yawning
The subtle hint with a heavy warning
Time goes on, whether I do or not
Scenery changes me all the time
It’s fine to be scared of things out of sight
The time I spend looking at the ground
It keeps me safe, it keeps me sound
And I don’t get why I stop looking at the sky
The air I smell still keeps me present
I’ll never say that things aren’t the best
Because time goes on whether I do or not
Scenery changes me all the time
It’s fine to be scared of things out of sight
The leaves that fall on the car each morning
The train that passed as the sun was dawning x4
Scenery changes me all the time
It’s fine to be scared of things out of sight
Safe to stay
It changes me x 4
